subject: The Right Mattress Matters [print this page]

Sure enough that your bed is the right size? The platform bed that you and your spouse bought when you just moved in to your new house may just a little cozy these days.

When choosing a mattress size, consider not only the size of the room, but the size of the people sleeping in the bed, and you and your spouse may had gained weight and not as slim and trim as you once before.

Twin Beds. Could not agree more, twin bed is the best choice for childrens rooms. But if you are the type of mother who loves to read story books before lulling your children to sleep then full size may be considered. Dont forget that some of your daughters friend will have sleepovers as well.

Full Beds. Full beds measure 53 inches by 75 inches, a sound choice for single sleeper with 5 to 51 feet tall range. Both twin and full sizes are approximately 75 inches long, which may be too short for some adults, especially men. Full sized platform beds are best for guest rooms, teen rooms and childrens rooms.

Queen Beds. The most popular size in mattresses and measuring 60 by 80 inches. Great fit to smaller master bedrooms and guest rooms as well. But with just 30 inches allotted space each person that is less space a person can get from a twin bed alone.

King Beds. The best bedroom furniture for couples who are looking for maximum personal space. Measuring 76 by 80 inches indeed are fit for kings. If you have pets and children to share occasionally, then king bedroom furniture can deliver the size that you are looking for. Having the same size as two extra long twin beds pushed together, this is a good choice for flexibility in guest rooms. Sure, king beds are the roomiest, remember though that king sized bedding is also the most expensive.

Summing it up, it is wise to consider the size of the room and the size of the people sleeping in the room when choosing a bed.
