Montjuic is a hill located near the espanya square where from the top, there are great views on the city and the harbor like Park of Mirador del Poble-sec (passeig montjuc 28) and a nice castle to visit. There are also many museums and many nice parks like the Greek Theatre Garden, Laribal Garden
If you don't know Gaudi, I recommend you to visit his works like Batllo house and Mila house, also known as Pedrera, both located at passeig de gracia street, very close to catalunya square. The basilica Sagrada Familia (mallorca 401), still unfinished but so wonderful and the Park Guell (olot 7), the original concept was to create a district but at the end, it is a beautiful park.
Looking for a nice place to lunch, go to Cerveseria Catalana (mallorca 236), it is one of the best tapas bars, at least for me or go to La Boqueria, the famous market near las ramblas street. Inside, there are many places to have a great lunch, above all if you like seafood. During night time, for tapas, avoid the restaurants at the passeig de gracia street, foods are not great and according to me, it is more a trap tourist. Go to Cuidad Condal (rambla catalunya 18), very crowded but worth to be patient.
