Auto Repair Marketing Myth Busted

For many shops their auto repair marketing consists of opening the doors in the morning. They believe the myth that if they simply show up every day and do good work that the public will beat a path to their door and overwhelm them with fame and fortune. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Twenty or thirty years ago this auto repair marketing strategy worked. You could hang out a sign that said, we fix cars good! and you had make enough money to buy a nice house, a couple of nice cars, take some great vacations and send your kids to college. Not today!

In today market in addition to being good at fixing the cars you have to be a master of auto repair marketing. You have to be able to find, implement and evaluate multiple marketing strategies and tools. You have got to find the winners and spend auto repair marketing money on them and you have got to identify the losers (the ads that do not work) and quickly stop them before they use up too much of your auto repair marketing money.
