They say that one of the most effective ways to incorporate what you are learning is to surround yourself with like minded people.Sometimes that's not as easy as it sounds.
We might work with negative people, we might have a spouse, or friends who are the naysayers'
How do we manage?
I think we need to be strong. Being positive has its own rewards.
No point living in the past and or worrying about the future.
What we put out there today is what we get.
Think of it like this; If the past is over (and we can't change that) and tomorrow isn't here yet we can only control' what happens today;
What we think, what we do, what we give out' returns to us
Give a smile and get one back
Give positive attitudes and watch your days become brighter.
Somehow those negative people either change with your example or they disappear' and you no longer have to deal with them.
Getting into great daily habits, (like cleaning your teeth) being positive, having good thoughts even noticing when negative thoughts come into your mind and consciously changing them. Not taking part in gossip or negative conversations at work or with a partner. It takes work and it's not always easy. Even the brightest happiest' people have challenges.
But we have to move forward, we can't go back; get into good daily habits and you will notice how your life changes. Little miracles will seemingly appear out of nowhere.
I believe that every single thing we experience can be changed by thinking positively about it. By using techniques, affirmations, visualisations, and if that sounds too tree hugging' and mumbo jumbo for you let me ask you a question what is an affirmation if not just a positive statement?
When we worry about something we go over and over and over it in our minds; over and over; All I'm saying is that we can control our minds to do the same with positive and enhancing thoughts.
If you expect the best that's what you'll get.
Think how perfect a little baby is with no preconceived ideas of what she/he should be; they cry when they need changing or are hungry, they sleep ; they go with the flow'
Unfortunately by the time they go to nursery school they've already got some limiting beliefs from their parents.
We hear bad stuff' at school' and then we're set for a lifetime of things not being quite right
Look at the difference between a child who gets praised from one who doesn't.
The one who does feels that everything is possible; the one who doesn't thinks it's all impossible and grows up feeling unworthy, useless.
It's never too late to change those thoughts telling yourself over and over how great you are being proud of yourself for all you've accomplished. Don't put yourself down; bring yourself up
