subject: How Our Language Affects Our Spiritual Healing [print this page]

Our words present to the outer world what our inner world is like. Our thoughts are revealed through our emotions and our emotions are shown through our language. The language that we employ and their affect on Spiritual Growth will be the focus of this article.

The procedure of attaining our idyllic state is facilitated through Spiritual Healing. When our true nature shines through we have achieved our idyllic state. And the creator has bestowed upon us our true nature.

The inner beauty of our true nature will shine through only when we take off the filters that block it. What are these filters made up of? They are made up of our emotions and our thoughts. Our words are what expresses both our thoughts and emotions.

Why have the words that we employ turned into my main focus? Thoughts or emotions could have easily been the central focus. The reason I have chosen language is because they are the simplest to watch. And our Language are the simplest for our friends to observe and comment on.

When somebody comments on your emotions it is easy to disagree with their viewpoint. But if they said that you said "I hate everybody" or "I love everybody" that is hard to challenge. So words turn into our marker for growth. If you want your life to change then simply change your words.

Thoughts fly by so fast it is difficult to grab them to change them. I know you have seen your thoughts jump around like a monkey in a cage. To catch them in any act is very hard.

The same is true for your emotions. I am sure you have been surprised by your emotional reactions. Usually by the time we recognize an emotional state, such as anger, we might be to far gone too be able to change what is going on.

Observing language is not the same. Changing your words after you have said something is very easy to do. You can change you words completely or simply change the order of what you have said. Instead of saying "You make me mad" you could say "What you are doing makes me mad". It is easy to see that these sentences are very different.

How does this help change the filters that block our true nature from shining through. To understand our filters all we need to do is look at our irrational negative emotions. Emotions such as fear, hate, jealousy, anger etc... These negative emotions are best replaced with positive emotions such as gratitude, love, patience, kindness etc...

The more we watch what we say the more we can replace the negative with the positive. Our thoughts and emotions will become more uplifting the more our words become uplifting.

The more we clear away the negative the more the positive grows and the more our true nature shines through.
