Ways To Make Money With Twitter

You don't have to be a business owner to make money on Twitter. If you do own a company, you can advertise, but regular users can earn money from the ads of other users or raise funds for a worthy cause. It is possible to try to do these things on your own, but it is much easier with the following Twitter apps.

Twittad is a Twitter app that both advertisers and Twitter users can use to earn money. Companies run ad campaigns using this application and users can select which ads they would like to promote. These Twitter users then get paid to tweet about these products and services. Businesses can focus their efforts on a target market because the app can search specified demographics.

AdCause works in a similar fashion to Twittad. They match advertisers with Twitter users, called Publishers, and users get paid to Tweet ads. The twist is that you can select various charities with which to share your proceeds. This is optional, however. You can opt to be paid by check or via PayPal.

If you would like to raise money for a particular event, organization, or cause, you can try ChipIn. This tool allows you to create a fundraising event online. You can create a unique URL and promote the link through your tweets. It is also possible to inbed the ChipIn widget on your website and link to it in your tweets. All you need to do is sign up with a username and password. For each event, you will need to enter the type of cause you're collecting for, when the fundraising event will end, and your PayPal account email information.

Magpie is an older Twitter application that will post relevant tweets to your account and compensate you on a pay-per-sale/lead/click/view basis. You decide how often ads appear in your feed and you give preapproval to each Magpie tweet. Advertisers run their campaigns using this tool as well.

These apps won't make you rich, but you can earn some pocket money or raise funds for something you care about using Twitter.
