subject: Haters Of Smokers Should Look Into Their Own Unhealthy Consumptions [print this page]

People that have never smoked tobacco can not really understand what it is that smokers get from lighting up and inhaling the smoke from the plant. The dopamine release that inhaling the nicotine causes is what the smoker gets that makes them feel so good. This is why so many tobacco smokers have such a hard time kicking the habit. They simply like the way it feels. It really is that simple and that complicated all at the same time. While that dopamine release caused by the nicotine is what the smoker really craves, the other aspects of smoking are habit to them as well

For whatever reason, a smoker enjoys the act of lighting up a cigarette and puffing on it. Something similar to the way a person who likes to chew gum would feel. It is just soothing or comforting to them in some way. Everyone are so judgmental about smokers when many of them do not even realize that the ingredients that are in the gum they chew might not be so good for them either. An additive called aspartame can be found in some gum, diet sodas, artificial sweeteners and a host of other products. This ingredient has up to ninety two different side affects associated with it.

It is easy for those that do not understand why people smoke tobacco to point the finger at them and their addiction, but can they cut the things out of their life that can be harming them as easily as think smokers should be able to. Someone that judges tobacco smokers might find that easy to do, but can they stop eating the fatty, cholesterol loaded fast food cheeseburgers they love so much? Can they give up their diet sodas? Can they give up those sugar filled treats they like so well after meals?

Almost everyone takes in at least something into their body that is bad for them. Those who consume gallons of coffee loaded with caffeine or someone who drinks several glasses of wine every night might be able to judge smokers easily, but can they judge and discipline themselves as well as they do others. Just because you do not smoke tobacco, does not mean you might not have some very unhealthy vices of your own. No one would advocate tobacco smoking as a good thing or an excusable thing for anyone to do, but it is by far from the only substance abuse that enjoy having. Alcoholism, over eating, and plain old unhealthy diets are all silent killers of people from all walks of life. Who can say that one bad and unhealthy habit is worse than another when they are all harmful?
