Clarksville Website Development Has One Simple Rule: Simple Is Better

When designing a website, it is best that you use simple, time-tested formulas as opposed to fancy graphics, excess flash animation and crazy colors.

Here is what you must remember in order to keep web design simple: what is the purpose of each page?

1)It can provide factual information (worst choice)

2)It can provide product information (better choice)

3)It can collect visitor information, especially email addresses (better choice)

1)Factual Information Web Site

For example, you may want to simply be an information website.

Your intent is to give visitors great and factual information about a topic, much like Wikipedia or Britannica.

Visitors who stop here are looking for specific information, and you are providing it.

This will not do much in the way of providing you sales (which is why it is the worst choice), but if you are a non-profit organization, community service oriented, etc., then it would be appropriate

2)It can provide product information (better choice)

Your website can provide product information to help your customers and visitors make informed decisions about your products.

This is better than the first choice if you are a for-profit business.

However, it is not the best choice for this reason: A visitor can very easily leave your site and never return.

You have no way of contacting them again, which as a business owner, you desperately need.

The last option is the strongest of them all.

3)It can collect visitor information, especially email addresses (better choice)

By collecting an email address, you now have the ability to talk to your prospect, over and over again.

You can also now include the first two choices (sending emails that contain factual information and product information), as well as promoting your products and services.

This is the ideal situation. You can provide value and start to generate trust, which in turn will lead to new client relationships!
