In fact, most of these business already have long years of experience in large companies and have just only grown tired of having someone else control their time. These kind of business are possibly just drained with the corporate culture and have decided to take greater control of their time, and of their life in general. Most of online business owners are even being envied by the traditional workers because they are earning significantly higher than those who still report to offices and deal with work-related stress.

The online business fad has also created a lot of misconceptions about how the it really works. Most people automatically assume that if they build an online empire, and outsource all the related tasks, they can easily become rich. This kind of attitude has caused many aspiring online businessmen frustrations. The success of an online business is not instant, just like any other business. It is a very gradual, crucial process, especially because it involves a lot of work that needs to be done outside of the physical reach of the owner. Another assumption, relevant to internet or online business is that it is impossible to collaborate with an offshore company, especially if the business is just starting. This hesitation is usually supported by the idea of impossible collaboration with a completely remote staff, from a completely foreign culture. However, it is a common knowledge already that the internet has been a very reliable means of connecting people no matter where in the world they may be located. Also, collaborating with people does not have to be expensive and complicated because there are already a number of collaboration tools, that are free. With regards to the cultural or demographic barriers, most offshore companies only keep remote staff who are not only competitive in terms of technical skills, but are also excellent with their communication skills.
