Thirty Seconds
Thirty Seconds

One, Two, Three, Four.Fifteen, Sixteen.. Twenty Seven.. Thirty

Count from 1 to 30 and thirty seconds are over. You can't lace your shoes, can't wash your hands, can't convey your idea to other, can't introduce yourself and in our type country, where time is the least important thing and people spend hours on mobile phones, one can't even say Hello in 30 seconds.

But, still there are a bundle of things that you can do in such a little time and can really play your part in affecting the world, whether positively or negatively. Things like passing smile to a stranger, hug someone, saying sorry, thank you or other nice words, look behind you, using car blinker, pick a piece of trash and throw it away and the list goes on.

But, in all those lists you will find on net or draw by yourself, one thing will be and might be missing that one can do in 30 seconds. But people take it so normally that no one ever tries to ponder over it. As soon as one is asked about 30 seconds, he just thinks of doing something great or something big to introduce a change in the world. But never thinks of a very simple but at the same time very crucial task that he/she can do in such a small time and that is "To Build or Break Relations".

"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. They are Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you are keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four Balls Family, Health, Friends and Spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it." (Bryan Dyson Former CEO of Coca Cola)

Above is the shortest speech in the world by "Bryan Dyson Former CEO of Coca Cola" in which, he also has forced on the "Relationship Building". He said that, the whole life man is running after job and other materialistic desires, for himself and for his family. In this race, he is so much involved and indulged in achieving these desires that he forgets his real asset of life. He forgets that his true income of the whole life is the family and friends' circle he owns. Bryan Dyson has symbolized Life and Family as the glass balls which once break can never be reshaped while the Work, for which and after which the man runs the whole life is basically a rubber ball which if falls still can comes back to you sooner or later.

So, while interacting with his relatives, if one thinks just for 30 seconds that with whom he is dealing. Who is he? What is his relation with that person? How close is that person his relative? How should he deal with the other? And all such questions, it will not only avoid him falling in any clashes but will also help to strengthen the relation. Let me give you an example of an incident, experienced by me and which basically forced me write this article.

My elder brother, once, scolded me for some mistake. The reason, for which he yelled at me, wasn't basically my fault. It was my other, who did that, but at that time I was in front of him, so he criticized me with some harsh words and left. I could clarify the situation that it's not me but the other one who did that. But I sat quietly and thought why he did that, while he also knew that it wasn't me but some other. And I realized that he basically did that in an unintentional way. He was, basically, tired because of the work in office and then a dinner party, which kept him awake till 12:00 PM. Then, he was to wake up early morning the next day. So all these things, consecutively, made him tired on one hand and stressed on the other side. Thinking this, instead of getting angry I really felt sorry for him.

Now if we take the above event other way, i.e. instead of keeping my silence at that time, I also argue with him, then obviously the result won't be the same. Definitely he got angry or even might slap me or even if he didn't say anything, I might feel sorry for my behavior.

There is also another way, we can take the above situation i.e. if my elder brother before saying anything thought for just few seconds and answered himself of the questions I mentioned above, he definitely didn't say me anything at all, or even if, said, the mode of uttering words would be quite different.

So, those who enlist actions for 30 seconds should include this one too in their lists. In fact, should give it the top most priority as by just applying this 30 second approach in our lives, we can make this world like heaven. Because, if everyone of us answered oneself the questions like who is the one we interacting, how closely we know him, what will happen if we treat him the other way round. His behavior and mode of interacting people will change instantly and in my opinion this will be the "Greatest Impact on World".
