Recently Apple have released a new iOS and iPad users couldn't be happier. iPad was stuck at iOS 3.2 for quite a while even though Apple rolled out iOS 4.1 for the iPhone and the iTouch. Multitasking
That is what we want to hear. We won't have to turn off our games when we need to look something up in the net or reply an email. This update makes the iPad feel more like a functional netbook rather than just a large iTouch. The multitasking is basically the same as iPhone's and it is easy to use.
UI
At a glance everything looks the same for this iOS 4.2 review but there are tiny UI changes that are made to the iPad. First of all, we get to used folders! You don't have to scroll through 7 pages of apps or keep on rearranging the apps according to frequency of usage. Just make a folder and group all of them together. The folder can now hold 20 apps instead of the 12 apps before update.
The switch for the orientation lock has now become a mute switch. You will have to access it through double tapping the home key. Doing that also opens up a few extra options. In the iOS 4.2, Apple also added the brightness control, volume control and music player control in the new side bar.
AirPlay
The AirPlay is a synching method for your Apple devices. You can stream movies or videos from your iPad to any iOS 4.2 compatible hardware. Printing is also made possible with the AirPlay but you need a printer that is compatible with the iOS.
