Getting Back In Shape After Giving Birth

If you are not happy with your weight after having a baby, don't worry. As long as you know what to do, losing the weight should happen quickly. You may be thinking that you will not have the time to exercise because your baby is so young that it needs to have you super close by almost all of the time. Of course, your baby will be sleeping a lot too. If you get into the habit of doing your exercise whenever your baby takes a nap (if you don't need a nap yourself), you will see results in no time! Here are a few things that you can do during naptime that will help you feel better and look better.

You can learn some Latin dancing styles that offer a few weight loss benefits. Latin dancing not only burns lots of calories as you swing your hips, tap your feet and roll your shoulders, but it can also make you feel sexier when you need it most. Check out some latin dancing videos or workout dvds to help you learn a few dance moves to help you shed pounds after pregnancy. This is one way to get a good cardio workout that's fun and doesn't feel like work. Latin Style dancing is one exercise you won't have a problem sticking with as you have fun and lose the weight. Arm Flutters: This is an awesome exercise that you can do right next to your baby's crib. Start out by lying on your back and putting your legs straight up. Pick your torso up off of the ground a little bit and lift your arms while making sure they stay straight. After lowering yourself back down, repeat the exercise between 20-50 times. This helps strengthen your core and burns more calories. As long as you do this exercise at least three times a week, you'll see the baby weight drop off in no time.

Air Bike: In this exercise you lay down on the floor on your back and raise one knee so that it meets the opposing elbow (left knee to right elbow) and then lowering back down and doing the same thing with the other limbs (right knee to left elbow). Repeat back and forth on each side. This is a great ab strengthener and calorie burner, two things that are important to women who have had babies. These exercises, if you do them often enough, will give you fantastic results in just a few weeks. They are easy to do both while your child is resting and to spread out across your day instead of trying to do everything at once in a larger block of time. Of course, it is even easier to shed weight if you do them all at once at least three times a week (or any other 20-30 minute workout three times each week). So do these exercises as often as you can, and keep it up, and you'll be fitting into your pre-baby jeans before you even realize it.
