Ian Klein, DPM, Foot Care Specialist Who Puts Patients First

Since the beginning of his career in 1995, Dr. Ian Klein, DPM has been making sure his patients put their best foot forward through his highly specialized and insightful patient care that recognizes healthy feet means a healthy life.

Dr. Klein got his start in New York, where he attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Spending years working in various hospitals around the country, he now runs his own practice in St. Petersburg, Florida that takes a patient centric approach to care. A board certified member of the American Board of Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Klein understands that a variety of foot issues can actually impact the overall quality and health of his patients' lives.

"Keeping our feet healthy is an important thing in life. And what I do is not just about treating a fracture or a case of Athlete's Foot, it is about making sure other medical conditions are not negatively impact my patient's life or that foot problems are not lessening the quality of life and health," stated Dr. Klein.

Dr. Klein's practice was formed around making sure his patients are comfortable not only with his concern for their health, but also happy with the level of care and attention that is provided on every visit.

"I realize that I am a specialist at what I do and that the type of care I offer to a patient is above and beyond what is experienced in an internal medicine office. I need to make sure that we are able to assist patients with their concerns and answer questions that might be outside the realm of general medicine," added Dr. Klein.

Dr. Klein is currently affiliated with St. Anthony's Hospital, Bayfront Medical Center, Columbia Center for Special Surgery and the Physicians Surgery Center at St. Anthony's. He has stayed up to date and current on his memberships as a Fellow at the American College of Foot and Orthopedics & Medicine, the American Podiatric Medical Association, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Diabetes Foundation. He is also a Past President of the Pinellas Podiatric Medical Association.

Indeed, Dr. Klein considers his activity and expertise a reason why his practice has been so successful. With the help of his trusted staff, he has worked to grow his practice regularly since its inception. He is currently accepting new patients and believes that the relationship that is formed at the first visit is one of the main reasons that he has so much return and referral business.

Dr. Klein is eager to speak to patients who are looking for advice on how foot health contributes to a positive life experience.

"When people go to the doctor, they don't want to feel like a number, they want personalized support and advice. They want to feel like they have the attention of the medical professional that they are speaking to and that is what I have promoted at my practice from day one: a concierge medical service that provides support and assurance, instead of just a diagnosis.
