subject: When It Comes To Looking After Your Iphone Prevention Is Better Than Cure [print this page]

We've all heard of the saying 'prevention is better than cure' but how many of us actually take heed of the advice when it comes to one of the most important gadgets that we own? The iPhone has become the must-have electronic tool of our generation. It has combined into one lightweight electronic box of tricks the telephone, camera, laptop, GPS and so much more! With this level of sophistication it is no wonder more and more people are starting to rely on their iPhone to take over the routine as well as complex tasks associated with their lives. However, how many people actually realise just how fragile the iPhone is? An accidental drop can easily shatter the touch screen of the iPhone rendering it completely useless. How long would you be able to cope without your iPhone?

The glass screen is the iPhone's major weakness. A number of deep scratches can make the touch screen difficult to use, whilst a broken screen signals the end of your phone. If you regularly backup your iPhone to iTunes then most of your data will be safe however, who wants to go through the painful exercise of having to replace your iPhone and reconfigure the settings. A better option is to prevent the damage in the first place.

A simple, relatively cheap but effective way of protecting your iPhone's screen is to install an iPhone screen protector. Screen protectors are made from an extremely tough, clear plastic film that has been designed to adhere to the front of your iPhone to completely isolate and protect the screen from objects that might damage your phone. Once installed these screen protectors are almost impossible to detect with your finger yet they provide a completely scratch proof surface upon which you can operate your iPhone from.
