From the birth of paintball, the way it's played has been constantly expanding over the years, with different types of matches, providing loads of fun! Here are the top 6 types of paintballing games. These are the most popular, so if you have been paint balling before, then the chances are you've of played at least a few of these!
Capture The Flag
This is my personal all time favourite, two teams opposite sides of the game area and a flag in the middle. There are loads of different ways to win this. Sometimes it'll be the first team to capture the flag, other times you may be required to capture the flag and then place your base, or the other team's base.
Bombers
I do love this game type as well, one team will be given a base, somewhere to defend, usually they are not allowed to leave the base, but like always that could change depending on where you go paintballing. The other team will be given some sort of bomb (Probably just a bit of wood, which looks like a bomb) and they must get it into the base. Usually the team with the bomb will be given unlimited life's, as the other team will have plenty of cover. Bare in mind this game usually has a shorter time limit.
Attack And Defend
This game type is just like bombers, apart from the fact there isn't a bomb! One team will be given a base to defend; the other team must attack the base. Usually the attacking team must enter the enemy's base in order to win, although this can change according to game rules!
Takeover
Always a great game type to play, usually they are 4 or 6 mini-bases in a game area, both teams need to capture and secure as many mini-bases as possible. Each mini base will count as 1 point, when the game ends, the team with the most mini-bases wins.
Team Death Match
The most classic type of paintballing game, a simple red v blue type game, the team with the most left/the team last standing will win.
Protect The VIP
A member from the defending team, will be made the VIP, the attacking teams job is to kill the VIP, everyone on the defending team has to protect their VIP. Forcing the attack team to slowly move forward throughout your defences, always a great game to play, but the VIP tends to be the most bruised!
