Aristotle said that it is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contributing to health, wealth, and wisdom. Are morning people born or made? In my opinion it was definitely made. Becoming an early riser can be difficult if you're used the big sleep-in and rushing off to work or daily tasks. With a little bit of planning and some understanding of the benefits of early rising, you can make the change from sleepyhead to early riser and make use of the wee hours in the morning.
Sleep a few hours earlier may help you to get up earlier. You may set your alarm clock for bedtime. No need to set an accurate time to fall asleep. You just make arrange of time for you to go to sleep. It helps you sleep well when you are sleepy enough. It is easiest going to bed earlier, even if you don't think you'll sleep, and reading while in bed. If you're really tired, you just might fall asleep much sooner than you think.
Don't make drastic changes. Start slowly, by waking just 15-30 minutes earlier than usual. Get used to this for a few days. Then cut back another 15 minutes. Do this gradually until you get to your goal time. Do not break your wake up schedule on weekends. Or it may completely screw up your wake up schedule.
You should put your alarm clock far away from your bed. If it is right next to your bed, you'll shut it off or hit snooze. Never hit snooze. If it's far from your bed, you have to get up out of bed to shut it off. By then, you're up. Now you just have to stay up.
Get up right away when your alarm clock goes off. Turn on the light to help you wake up. Even the sleepiest people can become wide awake with a little light. You may turn on all the LED lights to help you awake as soon as possible.
You may give a reward to yourself if you get up on time or even earlier. It might seem at first that you're forcing yourself to do something hard, but if you make it pleasurable, soon you will look forward to waking up early. Find something that is pleasurable for you, and allow yourself to do it as part of your morning routine.
Avoid using sleeping pills when you could not fall asleep. Unfortunately, many people when looking for the ways to improve the quality of their sleep and solve their sleeping problems turn to sleeping pills and other medications. There are other, much healthier ways to solve these issues that you could try first. The sleeping pills may interrupt your wake up schedule. And it is not good for your health.
Take the advantage of all extra hours you win for earlier wake up. Don't wake up an hour or two early just to read your blog, unless that's a major goal of yours. Don't wake up early and waste that extra time. You may do some exercises to make you much healthier. You may read a good book to make your life much happier. Or you may make a perfect plan for the coming day.
