When it comes to motocross racing apparel, there are a few key items that are must have for any true fan. Basically, all motocross apparel breaks down into three main categories: tops, pants (bottoms), and accessories.

Tops - the most common apparel type and can be found at thousands of stores and basically every racing event. They're the shirts, sweaters and jackets hanging up in the gift shop or stacked in boxes behind a table near the entrance. True fans will have shirts of their favorite racing brands and often times their jackets and sweaters as well. While not the cheapest of the three apparel types, they are often times moderately priced and come in a wider variety of sizes. So the younger generation doesn't have to miss out, most brands carry youth motocross apparel.

Accessories - this is a broad category, indeed. Everything from shoes and socks to lanyards and hats fall into this nearly all-encompassing category. So, it should come as no surprise that many of the items here can be among the cheapest of all motocross accessories. Yes, here you will find posters, hats, boots, even underwear and riding gear. The gear tends to be more expensive, but is a must if you plan on riding yourself anytime in the near future. And the best part is, they have gear for both genders, so you ladies will be able to find some great women's motocross gear.

Pants - the less common apparel type out there, this category of items include pants, shorts and skirts (for the ladies). You may be able to find these at racing events, but not as easily as the shirts or accessories. Often times the racing pants are of higher quality than regular pants, so don't be surprised if they're more expensive than what you're used to.
