subject: Girls' Night Out - An Iphone Disaster [print this page]

So, its the perfect night, you are out with the girls for one of those Girlz Night Out when all of a sudden, it happens, as if it were a slow motion movie. . .

Dance music is playing, lights are flashing and the girls are dancing. Just at that moment, your best friend Suzanne make a not so graceful dance move that knocks her drink on the table, which cause the liquid to go everywhere. In any other circumstance these events would simply be a party foul with a splash of alcohol abuse, BUT it just so happens that your iPhone is laying on the table next to the drink that Suzanne has so gracefully caused to tumble.

As you watch this all unfold, all you can think of is "I just bought this phone and that liquid could void the warranty." In epic fashion the liquid rolls out of the glass onto the table and specifically on your phone. The water is like the Niagra falls as it spills all over and begins to seep everywhere.

This slow motion nightmare comes to an supersonic end in a split second and you begin to move as quick as the wind to grab your iPhone and begin cleaning and drying it off with anything you can find - including Suzanne's new scarf.

Lucky for you the phone seems to be working fine and you will live to text another day. However, your worries could have been avoided with the proper protection. Next time, before you head out for a wild and crazy Girlz Night Out, cork it before you work it. That's right, iCorkz introduced a product that will help us keep your iPhones dry and protected as you dance the night away.

By introducing two smooth rubber pieces that plug into the iPhone and protect the ports, you don't have to worry about the errant party foul, or the erroneous party foul (although dropping the phone could still damage it, the liquid sensors will be protected). A set of iCorkz costs $9.95, and will protect the ports from rain, snow, spills, or any other water that is trying to find its way in to damage the device.
