subject: Change Careers - Become A Driving Instructor [print this page] Considering the current economic climate and record levels of unemployment across the globe, many people are put off from changing careers believing that they should be thankful for having a job in the first place. Moreover people are particularly sceptical about changing form a position of employment to being self employed, especially when they may have to take time of work to learn the new skills required to set out on the way to a new self employed business venture. Well there is a job out there that nearly every working person has the capability of doing with just a little training. You may be asking, what is this job? Read on to find out.
If you can drive and passed your test more than three and a half years ago plus you hold a clean driving license then you may well be eligible for a career as a driving instructor. If you meet the previously mention criteria you will be entitled to register yourself on a driving instructor training course as the first step on your way to a fresh career.
The training involved to become a driving instructor is split in to two distinct categories. Firstly there is the practical side of training which involves you being taught by another fully qualified instructor about how to correctly handle and manoeuvre a vehicle and also how best to pass on this knowledge to your pupils. The second aspect of the training is the theoretical side, which is classroom based and can even be learned away from the instructor training centre, giving you the flexibility to fit your training in around your other commitments.
