Switching to a Smokeless Cigarette

If you've been out and about lately, you've probably seen people using some very high-tech looking devices in place of cigarettes. These devices don't produce smoke, even though you may have seen what appears to be a cloud of it around the smoker. These are the famous smokeless cigarette devices, sometimes called e-cigarettes, which have become all the rage. Some cigarette smokers are switching over to e-cigarettes for numerous reasons.

A smokeless cigarette has a significant social advantage over cigarettes. Your non-smoking friends will be able to hang around with you while you puff away and they won't smell like smoke when they leave. The vapor that comes out of an e-cigarette has no smell and contains none of the toxins that result from combusting tobacco. This makes it much easier for people who have problems with smoke to enjoy their time with you.

A smokeless cigarette burns a liquid, stored in a reservoir, which may or may not include nicotine. There are a huge number of flavors of liquid available. Some of the flavors emulate the flavors of major cigarette brands and others don't taste like cigarettes at all. There are enough choices to keep the most finicky e-smoker happy and those blends that do include nicotine can be ordered at various strengths.

A smokeless cigarette can come with different types of cartridges. Formerly, most had a cartridge that held the fluid and a separate atomizer that turned the liquid into vapor. Today, both parts of the system are usually included in one device, sometimes called a cartomizer. This allows you to avoid having to change two separate parts at different intervals and reduces the complexity of the device. Most electronic cigarettes are now two-piece, rather than three-piece, affairs.

Most of the new e-cigarettes on the market have markedly improved technology compared to the first generation of products. Today's e-cigs are smaller, lighter and hold a longer charge than their predecessors. Many brands are roughly the same size as a tobacco cigarette, making the transition from smoking to vaping easier for those who have been smoking for a while. The variable nicotine strengths allow you to customize your experience. If you want to use less, you can buy a lower strength blend. If you want more nicotine in each hit, the levels go up to strengths comparable to a non-filtered, tobacco cigarette, providing the strongest hit possible.
