Birmingham for the business traveller
Birmingham for the business traveller

Birmingham is a Mecca for culture, history and business; and as a busy businessman who frequents this city, I don't have time to worry about my accommodation, or whether I will have the proper facilities to conduct my businesswhich is why I always stay at the Hilton hotel Birmingham.

They know how to treat me the way I'm accustomed to whether I am there for business or pleasure, and they always offer me excellent service, helpful staff, gorgeous roomsand they remember me.

Because I don't have to worry about my needs being taken care of, my trip to Birmingham is always a happy and successful one. As a vibrant commercial centre and a national hub for conferences there is always a huge supply of networking opportunities.

In my business, however, I also have to wine and dine my clients and give them advice on what to see while they are here. The concierge at the Hilton gave me this list, and I always use it to give my clients advice on where to go:

Housed in a striking Victorian Building, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery has vast collections of paintings, ceramics, sculpture, silver and displays of ancient and social history.

The NIA and the LG Arena are famous for rock and pop acts night after night. There's also the Hippodrome, the O2 Academy, the Jam House and Symphony Hall.

The Supersonic Festival, NEC Antique Fair and ArtsFest are among the best events in the world.

Cruise the Amsterdam-like canals, or visit St Martin, the original parish Church in the Bull Ring, or the Saracen's Head public house, which was constructed in the 15th century.

Dine in the Balti triangle around Sparkbrook, Balsall Heath and Moseley, canal side or over 200 city centre restaurantsI often recommend The Living Room, Lasan or Malmaison

Birmingham is a premier business hub, cultural Mecca and an amazing city for the business or pleasure traveller. When you're here try the Hilton Birmingham you'll be pleasantly surprised.
