Over 80 years ago, Joseph Pilates created this method of complete coordination of the body, mind and spirit. He originally called it "Contrology".
Pilates is Exercise. It develops your body's strength and flexibility through a series of exercises that target specific muscle groups.
A Pilates session could be gentle or intense; either way it has no impact on the joints.
Each exercise is executed with a limited number of repetitions with deep concentration, complete control and body awareness.
Pilates is Movement. You use your core to initiate a wide range of movements in a controlled and flowing manner.
