When Taylor Martinez missed the team's mandatory meeting, the net went on fire. Pelini had to issue a statement to the Omaha World Herald late Sunday evening to stop the net-claims. "Reached shortly before 8 p.m., Pelini said the status of his freshman quarterback had not changed since the end of Huskers' 9-6 loss Saturday at Texas A&M.
"He's still on the team," the coach said. Pelini again declined to offer an explanation for the sideline incident on Sunday." So what exactly did Pelini say to Martinez during the sideline tirade? Pelini may have to give that explanation today during a pre-scheduled team news conference.
