The first ones were produced by Behringer and I thought they were fine, but only until I tested a pair made by Beyerdynamic.
The Behringer headphones didn't have much brilliancy which in fact was a big issue with recording tracks - you wouldn't notice, if a string started to buzz, and in addition to that it always became a burden to me wearing them more than half an hour 'cause they were so heavy that my auricles started hurting after that time.
The second headphones I had were the Beyerdynamic ones. And when I actually bought and for the first time tried them I was so enthused that I never wanted to purchase any other headphones no more - they are just perfect: cozy due to the velvet-like covering, light, and you exactly hear what you are doing. Furthermore, listening to music is a great joy and it sounds way better that it ever has before - sort of refreshed and even a lot more brilliant than through most loudspeakers you can purchase.
Even though they seem to be quite filigree in many aspects, these headphones are astonishingly durable! I have my ones since four to five years now and they are working perfectly ever since - no signs of wear so far!
If you do recordings, there's only one slight disadvantage with these. Since they're so light they don't shield the sound being given out so well. For recordings, you should remember to put down the volume in order to avoid unwanted sound coming through these headphones.
But in my opinion Beyerdynamic headphones are the best ones you could ever wish to have! They are absolutely reasonable, durable, and most importantly: they are so light and snug that you forget you put some on in the first place, and moreover their sound reproduction is fantastic and absolutely brilliant - simply a great fun, beyond words!
