Family and The Holidays Can Be Miserable, Unless you Know these Secrets

Family, food and fun is how the Holidays always start. The first thought at the front of my mind is all of the joy. It never starts with the stress that is inevitable considering the preparations.

The pain of too much to do with too high of expectation always leads to overbearing stress. And what comes of stress? High blood pressure, stomach problems and headaches. That's for me anyway. How do you respond? So here are 4 easy tips for you to start taking back your holidays!

1. Don't procrastinate. If you want stress, just wait until the last minute to do all of the normal holiday tasks that we all face. In today's world you can plan in advace, whether it is shopping online or preparing your meal in advance. In fact, most your time can be spent hanging out with family and friends.

2. Avoid the Busy. Look around, if everyone else is doing anything at a certain time... don't! {} Maybe the morning is better or the evening, just not with the crowd. And when you aren't following the crowd, guess what, you will save time, money and stress all at the same time. No line plus more money in your pocket, now that equals less stress any time.

3. Life isn't all roses. Sometimes things don't work out. Weather, poor service and unexpected obstacles are going to happen... find peace with the obstacles.

4. Be Yourself. Wear what you like to wear, even if your mom is going to give you looks. Your kids will make mistakes with their grandparents.. it's okay.

Holiday stress does not have to wreak your special time. These easy to follow tips will make the holidays more like you wish they could be and less like they have been in the past.
