subject: Coordinate Your Outfit With Wireless Internet [print this page]

As much as American society has relaxed its dress code regarding everything from the workplace to formal events, the United States is still a country where people are largely judged based on their looks and how they are dressed. Whether you are going to a job interview, looking for members of the opposite sex in a bar, or going to an important meeting with a client, looking sharp is a top priority. Is this vain? Is it one last thing leftover from a society that was once more rigid? Is judging someone based on their external presentation a valuable way of determining their polish and their seriousness? These are all important questions, great for debating, but should be left to another day. Instead, this article is going to focus on practical ways to make sure that you get that look together. There are two common maxims that come to mind when considering this topic: dress to impress, and dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Advice taken! Here is how to make sure that you are looking sharp, whatever the occasion.

1. Invest in basic pieces

There are certain items that become the building blocks of a wardrobe, and that every man or woman should have at least one of. For men, this might be a small collection of button up shirts. You can shop around on wireless Internet for different styles and price ranges, but do not spare on quality. They call it white collar work for a reason: you are going to be wearing these guys on a regular basis, no matter what your specific career path is going to be. Make sure to get at least one in white and one in a light blue. Avoid patterns that are too noisy, but a light vertical stripe can be stylish and appropriate. For women, this might be a blouse. You can shop around on wireless Internet to find different cuts that will flatter your frame. A busty woman with a narrow waist and hips is going to want a completely different blouse than a relatively flat woman with similarly-sized waist and hips.

2. Have one really nice suit, and make sure it fits!

Even if you have a more business casual workplace, having a good suit in your closet for the occasional times that you have to attend a more formal work function, or go for a job interview, is absolutely essential. And this is not the kind of thing you want to shop for on wireless Internet: fit is everything. So go to a store, and enlist the help of a salesperson. Get it tailored to fit your dimensions as well.

3. Do not wear scuffed up shoes!

Many people will put their entire outfit together, assembled from different pieces found via wireless Internet, but then throw up grimy old shoes. Do not fall into this trap! Have at least one pair of shoes that you save for formal occasions only, so that they do not look like you wear them every day on the subway.
