Living a healthy life doesn't count on how you say it, but on how you do it. It is easy to speak about being healthy but often times we just don't apply it. How do you describe a healthy person? Well, generally speaking, he is a person who doesn't smoke, eats healthy, exercises and weighs healthy. It is just simple, isn't it? It is always easy to define good health and you can simply point out the right thing to do in order to be healthy. The question is do you do it?

The lifestyle that you have is one factor that greatly affects your health. There comes a sedentary lifestyle that won't give you time to move your butt. With so much work hanging and deadlines approaching, there's no way for exercise. Here comes the boss putting pressure on you. Then why don't you smoke a cigar to ease the stress? No time to cook? Oh well, what are fast foods made for? Then by early forties, you just have to get a bed in the hospital.

Life is just a matter of balance. Know how to balance everything and you wouldn't be worrying much about getting ill or being a cuddly human bear. You avoid getting an exercise because of the thought that it will take much of your time, but deny it or not, movement is movement. More movements mean healthy body. Think of the ways on moving your body. Doing simple chores at home like gardening, raking the leaves or sweeping the floor. Take a walk or you may spend just 5 minutes on your treadmill before going to work. Pace around when you're on the phone. A great way to stay moving while doing something.

Eat healthy. This will help you with your weight management and also improve your quality of life. It is best that you know the foods that you should eat and the foods to avoid. Eat natural foods. Remember that foods that are closer to its natural state are surely better for you. Have some fresh fruits. Add them to your cereals or salads. Vegetables are very good. We get lots of vitamins and minerals from whole vegetables, so always have some green, yellow and orange vegetables. Avoid fast foods. These are foods that are high in calories, fats and sodium. When you shop for meats, choose lean meats and buy more fish. Ocean fish has omega-3 polyunsaturated acids that are mostly absent in your diet. Remove from your list processed meats, sausages, hotdogs and bacons for these have lots of saturated fats and nitrates. Find healthier version of meats at the store if you really love it. Eat low fat or fat free dairy. Grab some skim milk or low fat yogurt. Always remember to eat foods where you can get all of the vitamins and minerals that you need to be healthy. Instead of drinking sugary soft drinks, why don't you stick to water, milk and 100% fruit and vegetable juice?

Quit smoking gradually. Smoking is a high risk for lung cancer. You don't only risk yourself, but also the people that inhale the smoke from your cigarette. If you're pissed off with your boss because of too much pressure, find a more recreational way to get rid of the anger. Soothe yourself by listening to your favourite music or watch a good movie.

To have a healthy life is a must. There are a lot of simple ways to do it. It wouldn't even cost you a lot of money. You just need to have self-discipline and the will to do it. Value your health as you value your work .Good life comes from good health.
