For evening meals too it is nice to have somewhere to properly sit at, and talk about the activities of the day. However, whilst ideally suited to the task unquestionably, a table is far more than a place which balances plates and cutlery rather well.
Having managed to calm the kids down and settle them into their sleeping bags for the night, it is always nice for the adults to gather somewhere for a good conversation. Shared opinions and discussions about the day just gone and still to come are so much better over a bottle or two of wine too.
Through the day as well, camping tables are always useful. As well as eating meals on them, they are tailor made for meal preparation surfaces. Further than this, keeping the kids entertained with board games, cards or a laptop cannot be underestimated either.
There are many different types to choose from though, and the selection of which one to go with really depends on the type of trip taken. There are very solid structures, which are ideal for those travelling by car and being based in a site. For those a little more active, collapsible and foldaway tables, which are also lightweight, are good to simply pack and run with.
