Not so long ago I rented out my house while I was away on long term business, the tenant seemed like a nice guy but I knew absolutely nothing about him. I started having a few issues with him; lack of payment and also some damage to the property, needless to say this caused me some major stress I really didn't need!
So I needed to find out some background information on him as I got the feeling he had not been truthful on his application. I came across a service called Inteligator which apparently provided in depth information on anybody; it was meant to include criminal records, court records, sex offender records, address history, property membership and many more.
I signed up to the service without knowing that much about it, I was a bit dubious as I found it hard to believe it was able to offer me all this information for such a small price. After signing up I ran a search on my tenant and found a whole wealth of information all under one page. To cut a long story short the guy had previous convictions for criminal damage and burglary! Needless to say he is no longer my tenant.
I was very impressed with Inteligator overall and found the information I got to be very useful, to have access to the criminal records of a person at your fingertips is a god send for someone who rents out property. For me, it gives me peace of mind being able to check if my potential tenants are ex criminals!
The website itself that Inteligator uses is easy to navigate and doesn't have any complicated menus. I also used their support service a couple times when I couldn't find what I wanted and I found them to be very helpful.
If you need to run a detailed background check on someone then I would recommend Inteligator, I've not come across any services that offer the same level of information for such a small fee. Check out their site here.
