Play & Learn School!' Disha Development Trust, a Solaris Initiative
The Play & Learn School!' by Solaris Group offers a great opportunity to underprivileged children to experience, learn and enjoy activities such as craft, art, drama, painting, drawing, meditation, sculpture making, reading & writing skills, breaking superstitions just to name a few.
Here the Play comes first and then comes Learning. The fun activities rejuvenate the children to learn difficult concepts easily and that too without any fear of the subject.
In May 1999, Disha Development Trust (a Solaris group NGO) conducted its first 5-day residential camp at Loni Kalbhor. Since then every year large groups of children have been participating in these camps full of fun activities.
From August 29th 2010, Disha Development Trust has started "Solaris Play & Learn School!" at Club Solaris in Mayur Colony, Kothrud. The underprivileged children from the surrounding area and Municipal Schools are given the opportunity to discover and explore their hidden skills.
