The CPU of DM800 is BCM7401, a 300MHz MIPS chip. It can decode the H.264/VC-1/MPEG-2 video, so it is the most important part of the machine. The control chips are a SP3243EEA chip produced by SIPEX and an EEPROM Z27W40180K6 chip.
