Do I have what it takes to gain weight? Yes is the answer to your question. I know it might seem impossible to gain weight especially if you have been trying it for a long time. Well this does not mean that you are not capable of gaining weight, it simply means that the methods you have been using are wrong. You might actually start to think that you have to have certain genes for you to be able to gain weight. Well all I can tell you is to pull your chin up because there is hope for you even if you have the genes of a hard gainer.

All you need to do is to follow the simple and easy steps below.

1. Develop a mind of steel

You should have only one goal in mind, and that should be to gain more weight and nothing else. Focus your mind on what you will be able to accomplish should you be able to gain weight. You could want to gain weight so that you can have a perfect and wonderful body composition. The first step therefore in weight gaining is for you to first imagine yourself gaining weight and then take the necessary course of action which will make you realize your goal.

If you do not want it very bad then I am afraid for you, because you will not be able to lose weight and you are only preparing yourself for failure.

2. Know what motivates you

If you have a good physique then it is only natural that your self confidence will jump to the roof. I don't think I need to spell it out for you how a guy with confidence is a turn on for most women. You could use this simple to motivate you to work towards achieving your goal.

Not only will self confidence help you win over ladies but it could make you succeed in many areas of life including your career.

3. Follow the fundamentals needed in gaining weight.

They are;

a)Train heavy

This simply means you should lift weights in the gym with high intensity and with great endurance. You should try and incorporate progressive resistance when you are lifting weights for you to get optimum results.

Progressive resistance type of training is very effective in inducing the muscles to respond and grow. You should mostly depend on weight lifting exercises although it is advisable to do a bit of aerobic exercises.

b) Take foods which are high on calories

For you to be able to gain weight, you need to consume more calories than you actually burn each day. Eating a lot alone does not guarantee your success but you should be able to determine the amount of calories you take in each meal. Only by keeping track of your calorie intake can you be able to achieve your goal of gaining weight.

c) Rest

Do not forget to rest between your work outs. You should give yourself at least 9 hours of sleep for your body to be able to respond and grow.
