No exception to this is Ashley Greene, who was recently pictured sporting pearl earrings, Zimbio reports.
The actress and model, who is perhaps best known for her role as Alice Cullen in the film adaptations of Stehpenie Meyer's Twilight novels, was attending the FIJI Water Party at the Donna Karan Collection Spring 2011 fashion show when the snaps were taken.
Part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the event was held at 711 Greenwich Street in New York at the end of last month.
According to the news source, Meyer got plenty of attention, thanks in part to her pearl jewellery.
It stated: "[She] was wearing killer earrings. She turned heads with oxidized sterling silver and pave diamond three tier Tahitian pearl drop earrings. The note-worthy earrings were by Irit Desig."
Greene has worked hard over the years to get to her current position and may well feel her pearl earrings and other luxuries are well deserved.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, the 23-year-old moved to Los Angeles at the tender age of 17 to pursue her dreams of a career in the spotlight.
After being told she was too short to be a runway model at five feet five inches in height, she focussed on acting and has appeared as a guest on many TV programmes, as well as being cast in a number of films.
No doubt her recent appearance at the FIJI Water Party will not be last time the glamorous American will be spotted wearing eye-catching earrings and other such items.
