Griselinia a fast growing evergreen shrub that has fresh applegreen leaves. It is good for hedging and is very tolerant of coastal exposure. Griselinia can grow in any free draining soil.
Escallonia an evergreen shrub with small, glossy dark green and pink leaves that grows red and white flowers in summer. It is also very tolerant of coastal exposure but not the hardiest when it comes to cold drying winds.
