Stretch marks do happen when you gain too much weight and when you are undergoing pregnancy or having hormonal imbalances. These stretch marks will not cause pain on the affected area and they are not harmful. They do however tend to harm your physical appearance as well as hurt your confidence. Because of it, you might no longer want to go out to public places and you might revert to constantly wearing clothes that cover you up more. Having stretch marks may result in making you want to stay away from people, most of all, during social gatherings in the beach. During these gatherings you will no longer want to wear as comfortably as before for fear of showing your unsightly stretch marks. Though it doesn't really bother people, you might get too paranoid about it.
Sunbathing can help you heal your stretch marks. Though it is very hard for you to do it at this point, your efforts will not be in vain. However, you might want to not do it during actual gatherings, you can go to the nearest beach and stay there for awhile on your own. The sunlight can help activate your skins melanin, doing so can help heal your stretch marks. Vitamin D from the sunlight can add to the rejuvenation of your skin cells. If the beach is too far or too crowded, you can set up a lounge chair in your backyard or go to a tanning spa instead. In order for you to even up your skin tone especially on the areas where your stretch marks are, you will have to sunbathe or use a tanning booth. Obviously, you don't want tanning sprays since it will just temporarily cover up your stretch marks but will not aid it's healing. What you are after is the slight heat that can help you regenerate your cells; you won't be able to get vitamin D from the tanning booths though.
Never overdo this kind of treatment as it can be very harmful.Get a little heat and some sunlight for a couple of minutes and then that would be enough. Do not over expose yourself to the sun and do not spend too much time inside the tanning booth. Remember, your stretch mark exposes the underlying skin layer and that layer is very delicate and very fragile. The skin's middle layer is quite fragile, it does not have the necessary supportive fibers that makes the top layer very resilient, this is why precaution and care must be taken. The treatment is not meant to be done each and every day, you will have to ease up on it and sunbathe a few times every week or use the tanning booth mildly a few times every month. Do the sunbathing treatment early in the morning or late in the afternoon, do not do it when the sun is too high up and too hot. Always try to not get any sunburns especially on your affected areas.Remember skin cancer does happen and believe me, that is a thousand times worse than having stretch marks.Always try to drink water and rehydrate your body with enough liquid and ions before you sunbathe, apply sun protection and moisturize afterwards.
