Sun Temple Konark is located at Konark, Orissa also know as the Black Pagoda since 13th Century. The Bhogamandapa is known as the Hall of offering which is situated at the main entrance of the temple. This hall is specially used for the amazing performances of the ritual dances. The walls of the Bhogamandapa is been carved by focusing on the sculptures drawings of the musicians and the dancers. At the roof of the Sun Temple Konark, the sculptures of the musicians and dancers are been built which offers prayers to the Surry. At the Platform of the Sun Konark temple, you will see the magnificent sculpture of the Shiva Nataraja which has posture for the cosmic dance. You will come across the double staircase on the porch, where shrine contains the statute of Surry God. The shrine of the Surry is amazingly sculpture by the green chlorite.
