Dora--the Bride is one of my favorites so I especially loved the quote. I did not get a chance to read much this past weekend...even though we were snowed in most of Saturday (Very unusual for GA but a lot of fun). I am still on book4 of Laura Adrian's Midnight Breed series and I am still enjoying the series. The H in book 4 is one of my favorites,Very vulnerable and moody and truly in need of the right heroine to heal his heart. I am waiting for book 5 to arrive so I will probably take a break from the series and read Ransom (Julie Garwood). I planned to read this book several weeks ago but it just did not happen.
No Rest for the Wicked--This weekend I finished up "No Rest for the Wicked" by Kresley Cole and then went on to "Extreme Exposure" by Pamela Clare. I wasn't sure if I was going to like her contemporaries but I found this book had a little bit of everything. Humor, intrigue, a very steamy man and Ms. Clare's intimate knowledge of how a news room operates. I'm currently reading "Hard Evidence" as well and I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it. My heart goes out to Julian, even with his rough exterior. I couldn't put it down last night but finally my eyes told me I didn't have much choice. Next up is "Wicked Deeds on a Winters Night" by Kresley Cole and then back to Pamela Clare and "Unlawful". I love these boards because I have found so many wonderful books due to the recommendation of others.
Sprite--I'm actually waiting for book 6 in the Lara Adrian series--I thought book 5 was great too. When I read the first book in the series, I thought it was a "light" version of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The second book got me hooked though. I like the ongoing non-romance subplot, I think it keeps the series well connected. While waiting for book 6 (as well as book 5 in Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series and book 3 in J.D. Robb's In Death series), I'm reading The River Knows by Amanda Quick. It's my first by her and so far it seems pretty good. I don't have a lot of reading time this week, my little guy's 5th birthday party(Find more party dress at www.ourdressshop.com.) is on Saturday and all of my planning has been delayed by the snow. Two of my friends are coming over on Friday and we're going to bake and decorate his Transformers birthday cake, which should turn out o.k. provided that we do the cake first and enjoy beverages second. Happy reading everyone! Enjoy your reading life in everyday! (Find more party dress at www.ourdressshop.com.)
