Angelo Que beat Chris Rodgers just by a little advantage in a play-off to claim the Selangor Masters.
Que parred the first extra hole to see off the Englishman at Seri Selangor Golf Club and land his third Asian Tour title just after both finishing the tournament level on six under par.
Que said. "I feels very comfortable,"
"The first time that I succeed was in 2004 with my favorite golf clubs and I waited for almost whole four years for my another time to win. At present, I've waited for about two years for my third time. It's very great as well as a good feeling. I hope that I'll continue winning. What's more, I won't stop ."
The Filipino went into the final round just by one-shot lead, which he retained until the 18th, where a bogey witnessed him drop into a play-off with Rodgers as he carded a one-under 70 finally.
Rodgers picked up three birdies over his opening nine holes, in addition he held the lead until Que birdied the 16th and a bogey at the 17th handed the initiative back to his rival only for Que to hand him a lifeline with that bogey of his own at the last.
Que added "The 16th is very important."
"After I holed my bogey putt in regulation, I was so relaxed and I was much more calmer than earlier this morning."
"I was glad that I can be in the play-off because that it was just me against Chris and I wasn't fighting against the field any longer. Chris preformed very well but he was not very lucky in the play-off."
Rodgers found a greenside bunker at the first play-off hole before three-putting for a six having earlier shot a 69.
He said. "Finishing second never has fun,"
"It was neck and neck and it was done with good spirit as well as fun. We were battling away in a great way because we have been familiar with each other for a quite long time. For me It is a great tournament but a disappointing end."
