Your Back Needs to Be Ripped, Here's How to Do It

You cannot ignore your back if you are trying to get a great-looking upper body.I've put together a few great muscle-building back exercises for you to incorporate into your workout.Don't understimate the importance of strong back, your health and looks are much improved with it.

One's back is not one big muscle, it is many smaller muscles working together.Several exercises target each kind of muscle group.

The dead lift is a great exercise option to strengthen your lower back.Dumbbells can be used to perform the deadlift at home, or a weighted barbell is a good option at the gym.One must practice good form when doing the deadlift or there is a good chance you'll end up straining your back.

A rowing machine is going to be a good option to develop your lats and give you a broader back. You'll notice that athletes who compete in rowing races have incredibly broad, strong backs. When you are rowing, you are putting a lot of pressure on your latissimus dorsi, which is good to get a broader back.If you put in about 30 minutes several times a week, you'll notice your back getting broader.

Pull ups/chin ups are a great option for strengthening your upper back.If your in a gym, this is no problem, but if you're working out at home, I'd say it is a good idea to buy a chin up bar that attaches to a door frame. You may not be able to do many pull up right away, but soon you'll see the number of reps increasing as well as the muscle mass in your upper back.

When starting out your back program, you'll want to start out with a low number of reps and work your way up over the following few weeks, so you don't hurt yourself. Also, unless you are giving your back muscles a couple days rest inbetween workouts, you won't see much muscle growth take place.Don't try to workout the same muscle groups every day, that is a bad decision when it comes to building muscle.

During your workouts, try to diversify the exercises. The last thing I'll recommend is to make sure you are stretching each workout.Unless you do some easy stretching exercises, your muscles will not respond well to the intense strain of the workout.
