In the Book of Wisdom chapter 6 line 15 we told this: To meditate on Wisdom is knowledge fully grown' and this is a practice used by all successful folks in every endevour and not just monks; everyone and it is available to you too. To embrace wisdom takes discipline likewise effective meditation is not found at the end of a glass or in a box of chocolates.
To interpret faith in a religious context primarily is to be understood but actually falls short of the mark as faith is really a bigger picture than any religion could ever hope to emulate. Deep faith comes from within as nothing shall derail it from the course set once it has been firmly etched in ones psyche.

Our mind is the dominant conduit for faith as it is the power of the mind that enables one to reach within and find the talents needed for the desired task. Developing a calm mindset promotes reaching that depth where the EDGE resides and thus to enlarge ones meditative abilities is a very important practice. It is the EDGE which shall differentiate between being number one receiving the championship versus being placed somewhere else.
Meditation aids simulations of success thus prompting your subconscious to find the talents and the wherewithal you require. You may practice meditation in any number of ways even while working like in the movie Karate Kid with wax on and wax off.' When the simplest displacements of energies are mastered one is then thrust to improve on that thus you reach to find the EDGE.
Simulations are the only way to move while stationary but have dramatic effects with your performance. All athletes use these techniques and it is essential for astronauts to spend time simulating their space journey so as to offset any negative influences possibly experienced.
If there is one system that has more benefits other than physically expending energy it is meditation. This is not difficult to learn but when learned it is magical and amazing how a raging bull can be transformed into a quiet calf while complimenting strength and fortitude. God bless.
