When asked by US Weekly, Selena gave this following statement to them, "It was pancakes! Oh my gosh! [He] is one of my best friends...It was just pancakes! Who doesn't like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent". She who is currently 18 years old while Justin Bieber is only 16 years old had been seen together a number of times in the past where they were seen as very close too, which includes activities like hugging and other what not.
Selena always refers to Justin as her little brother when asked. At times she just feels overprotective of him which might cause speculations. Both of them had already been friends for quite a long time, but people out there still are not fully convinced that there is nothing special going around both of them. On a side note, Bieber is still underage while Selena is on her legal age, so even if there is any spark of relationship that might go on, it would not be working legally but heck perhaps, even if there is anything going on between both of them, they might have just kept it a secret from the public so it does not look awkward to them.
