subject: Is Honda Feeling Tense Waves With Volkswagen Vento On Roads? [print this page] The Japanese car company Honda is now in a state of worry. Takashi Nagai of Honfa Siel India shared their woe at the rumors that Volkswagen and Suzuki is joining forces and he sees this as a quite worrying situation. He opens that for the very first time they are feeling a pressure on the India's pride Honda Cars- the Honda City. They see the entry of Volkswagen in the Rs 7-10 lakh C-segment with the release of the Volkswagen Vento. They foresee that this is going to give tensed months for Honda in India.
To compare, both companies are looking great. The Volkswagen Vento is a totally different car and it is very far from the Volkswagen Polo. If one is going to look at it from the design's point of view, you are going to have a hard time sorting for differences between the hatch and the sedan versions.
The only obvious difference that can be seen if a person would view the profile. One would notice the increasing waistline as well as the extra metal over the C-pillar thus the difference would be made obvious upon observation. Volkswagen did not also transform the wheels, they have been consistent with the 15-inch wheels. The boot of the model has been designed thoroughly and thoughtfully. There is also a big wrap around the tail lamps.
The Honda City on the other end is most known for its space-age lines. It also has a sharp front-end. The dynamic look is provided by the parallelogram head lamps. Honda was also keen into adding a new variant last year that incorporated alloy wheels and fog lamps. The City as a whole provides a look of a car with a low center of gravity.
The Vento has backseats that will not let you feel cramped. The rear sets of the model is also positioned well and that is where you are able to get enough shoulder, knee and head room. The rear seats also provide comfortable entry and exit. But then these are a little low. The Honda City have high and good seats. This are known to provide enough legroom for those who are seated at the rear. It is also easy to get in and out but then the car lacks the rear vent as well as the adjustable front passenger seat.
