When Windows 7 powered hand sets went on sale, it created a sensational vibe in market and a huge level of verve was observed among the masses and by now it has already crossed 40000 figure in terms of units sold.Moreover, windows 7 powered HTC HD 7 was reported to be out of stock recently which certainly make its popularity evident. But when we compare the figures with other operating system in market, we find that Android is still maintaining the lead with 200,000 mobile phones sold everyday. Coming to Apple iPhones, it has recorded a sale of 2,70,000 a day. But a major element makes the big difference, and that is Global availability of these hand sets. Android driven mobile phones are available in many countries whereas the availability of Windows 7 hand sets is very much limited.Windows 7 was expected to give tough competition to all existing major players in mobile operating system market and yet we can see only little signs of the big determination. Many factors are reasons behind the not so impressive performance of Windows Phone 7. the main reason is that Android has created a good name in market already with stand out performance of its hand sets. Plus if we talk about marketing strategies followed by Windows 7, we wont find anything out of the box, this can be a major reason behind the below expectation performance of Windows 7 driven hand sets.Yet no official statement is being given by Microsoft regarding the sales figure but soon it is expected to come up.
