Just One More Cigarette?
Just One More Cigarette?

Have you ever heard a smoker say "I'll have just one more cigarette". Probably even you have said this yourself, either to a fellow smoker or to yourself.

It's not the same as eating too many cakes and saying "oh, I'll have just one more cake". Then you will feel ill because you ate too much. Or maybe you've said it while on a night out drinking. The next day you sure regret it when you have a wicked hangover when that "one" extra drink became "many"!

At least the damage is limited in these cases. When it comes to your smoking addiction, however, the guaranteed danger is that you'll just get back on the smoking wagon once more and notch up yet another failed attempt to stop smoking.

Smoking is an addiction, and there is no such thing as "just one more" with an addiction. Surely you must have heard of drinkers who have said "just one more" after being teetotal for 10 years then suddenly going back to their destructive ways. Or, to put it another way, have you ever heard of anyone saying "just one more cigarette" and being successful? It rarely, if at all ever, happens.

Eliminate these thoughts of "just one cigarette" from your mind now. You're better than that. Once you have mastered the art of rejecting these tempting thoughts from your mind, you're as good as an ex-smoker already. The mind controls everything, but you can control your own mind. Stop smoking today and give yourself a chance to live a healthy lifestyle.
