In news that may also be pertinent to anyone with a Virgin ISA, the financier has announced the zero per cent introductory period on its balance transfer credit card has been lengthened from 14 months to 16 months.
Following this timeframe, the package then reverts to a typical variable interest rate of 18.9 per cent, with subsequent balance transfers having an attached fee of 2.89 per cent.
However, in addition, the credit card offers zero per cent interest on all purchases made within three months, while all new Virgin products of this nature will also incorporate contactless technology, meaning items worth up to 15 can be bought without the need for a pin number.
