There is a big divide amongst guys that make it a point to learn how to seduce women, and that is on the subject of pickup lines. Now, some will argue that anything that you use to start a conversation with a woman is a line, and if that is the case, then you do need them. However, when most guys think of pick up lines, they think of things like: "How did it feel when you fell from heaven, cause you must be an angel." Obviously that is a really cheesy and generic example, but I think you get what I mean.
Here's why you don't always have to use lines on a woman to seduce her:
1. There are too many guys doing the same exact thing.
With dating reality shows all over the television, pick up websites all over the internet and movies that touch on the subject, women have become aware of many of the routines that guys use and it loses a lot of it's effect when that happens. There are countless guys walking around clubs all dropping the same lines, so all it does is make you look like a follower, part of the crowd. Will it work on some? Maybe. Many? Not likely.
2. The biggest part of seducing a woman is connecting with her.
You don't have to possess the greatest line in the world or any line as long as you can connect with her. Now, there is more than one way to connect with a woman. The way that most guys connect with a woman, comes off like friendship at best. You have to connect with her on an intimate and emotional level. Then she is more likely to see you as a guy that she wants to be physical with. Make that connection and it does not matter what rolls off your tongue, she will be into you.
3. The second biggest part of seducing a woman is building anticipation.
When a woman anticipates something happening with a guy, it excites her. Sexual tension is a precursor to anticipation, so that has to be built up as well. But, from there, you have to really make her want something to happen, you want her to want you just as much as you do her, maybe even more. If you do, then again, it does not really matter how smooth your words are, all she will be wondering is when you are going to make your move on her.
