Holidays are a fantastic time to sit on the beach and let all your caresinthe world drift away. That said, it's nice to have a bit of activity while on holiday. Watersports are a great diversion while away in hot climes as they let you take advantage of the gentle winds and warm water. Fuerteventura holidays offer tourists great opportunities to get their swim suits on and take-up some fun new sports.
To get started, check in at any of the local harbours and arrange for a rental. There are a wide variety of sports on offer including sailing, windsurfing and, for the adventurous, kite boarding. Kite boarding combines a surf board with a huge kite that propels the boarder along the water at tremendous speeds; this is a thrilling sport but it requires proper instruction so be sure to arrange lessons. Sailing is a much tamer option that will allow you to take in the island's beauty while still experiencing the rush of the warm Canary Islands breeze.
For those who prefer the depths rather than the surface, snorkelling and scuba diving are also available. Crystal clear waters ensure great visibility and allow you to experience the beautiful world under the sea. Scuba Diving is a great skill that can be picked up with a few lessons, but if you have children you might want to consider introducing them to snorkelling first.
There should be a watersport for everyone in Fuerteventura, so be sure to get out on, or under, the water. A holiday split between the water and the beach should be just about perfect.
