Is Article Marketing Dead? What You MUST Know Before Choosing a Free Traffic Strategy (NO Bull)

Is article marketing dead? Does it still work as well as it once did? Why do so many gurus say to STOP writing and submitting articles once and for all? And MOST importantly... if it is dead, what is the best source of free traffic to replace it?

Curious? Let's take a closer look immediately below!

Is Article Marketing dead... or is it simply LESS effective than it used to be?

Truthfully? Neither. Not only is article marketing still the MOST effective way to generate ongoing, free QUALIFIED traffic to your site, service or offer, I believe it's actually MORE effective today than it was a few years ago when I first got started.

Why is article marketing BETTER now than it once was?

Because most of the better, high ranking directories are toughening up their guidelines for accepting content. And the more stringent they become, the less attractive it looks as a strategy for those who aren't serious about creating compelling, quality content. Which means... that by and large, YOUR content has less compelling competition. And while it's FAR from perfect, the more the search engines place a premium on indexing quality articles, the more the directories will weed out the content that isn't quite as good.

The BEST way to use articles to build your online business.

You've got to use them to build a list. Quite simply, there is NO strategy that is as effective, and as perfectly synced with article marketing as list or relationship building AFTER the fact. Why? Because contrary to PPC ads, or using Twitter, or even joint venture referrals, people who read, enjoy and BENEFIT from your articles and then see a subscribe page immediately thereafter, are already positively predisposed to either your point of view... or wanting to learn more about what you've got to say. Remember... they've just read a 300-500 word article, and NOT a small PPC ad, or 140 word tweet... so they are a bit more intimately interested in the information you've got to share... AND to even be seeing your subscription page, they had to "commit to the click' to have gotten there.

If someone tells you article marketing is dead... DON'T argue..;-)

Let them do THEIR thing... while you focus on yours. But if the idea of generating MILLIONS of readers for free appeals to you (as I've done with articles like this one JUST in last year) keep creating content like CRAZY... and keep laughing all the way to the bank, to boot!
