Economy Experts Anticipate Home Internet Business to Expand by 2011

According to an article recently published by Newsweek Magazine, fifty percent of American households will be taken over by home internet business at the culmination of the decade. From being tagged as second class business, home-based internet business ventures have apparently come a long way.

Recent trends in the technology and economy account for the fast expansion of this venture. More and more people are getting involved because home-based businesses cost less to start and manage as compared to their traditional counterpart.

In the fight against recession, Americans constantly find for ways to boost up the economy. The high increase of sales for computers, desk lamps, telephones, printers, and work stations is evident how home internet business tops their list.

Delbenhams department store even proclaimed that in the past year alone, they have experienced a 340 percent of sales increase in home office essentials.

People appreciate the freedom to make their own itinerary. They are also attracted to the fact that they no longer have to dress up for work or answer to a supervisor. For families, this would also mean more time to spend with each other.

The economic advantages of home-based businesses are lower food and transportation fees. Parents are also no longer required to hire a babysitter for their small children. Tax deduction can also be accounted for rooms used solely as a home office.

Women home enterpreneurs sell make-up, lingerie, and household items through hosting a party. Men mostly prefer to work as tax preparers, consultants, accountants, architects, and real estate salesmen.

Some home enterpreneurs work as internet marketers while some sell products that are close to their creative side such as home and Christmas decors, quilts and toys.

A California research and consultant firm states that 6.6 million people in the US alone are now engaged in home internet business. Economists consider this as a strong economic force.
