A whole family becomes happy at the arrival of a newborn babby at home. The atmoshpere is filled with the sweets and congrates from all over the relatives. But the parents have to think a lot while admitting their loving infant to the school. A lot of talks takes place and soometimes the variety of views especially between the father and mother leads towards a quarrel. The elders add positively or negatively with their strong or weak ideas of life.
However, in the race of life towards the success, people think of the demand of the contemporary world and that of future aswell. For example, in most of the asian countries, it is strongly believed that English is what the medium they must prefer for their child's education. They find it so worthwhile that they blindly follow their belief even at the cost of the freedom of child. The child becomes insucure mentally when the parents fail to deal with English theirselves. The child depends throughly either on school or on the tutor. At home, it is helpless and so are the parents. This really needs a kind of atmosphere at home and at surroundings too.
Secondlly, they prefer foreign language either on the basis of its euphoria or say a kind of mob attraction. Someone from the neighbour has admitted his child into the foreign language so has he. But is this the rightway to decide for one of the most important steps for your child's entire education and life as a whole?
The question still lingers at thousands of minds . Whether the child should be taught in the mothertongue or in foreign language? Well, cheking the best suitable for our child, one should see the possibilities and limitiations atall the levels and parts.I mean the possibilities and limitations in three ways - that of your child, yourown and that of the language ofcourse.
Gently speaking, any medium that the child grows in, carries some of the culture that he is learining in. Simply because if the child learns in regionaltongue, it is more interested domestically as the literature and surroundings affect it. So is the case in the foreign language where more possiblilties surface for a global culture as for example learning in English medium.
Even with all this complexities towards the medium of instructions, one may step ahead to admit the child in mothertongue and let it learn the foreign language in parallel. Well, the juice of childhood deserves to be gifted to the child. So, the best suit shoud be grabbed for it and let us try to contribute to its career and life as well by simply going through a kind of small mind exercise instead that of heart and something else? One should remember that the overview of going through the scopes and limitations will lead to a better decision for the child's education. Or atlast, nothing seems to be impossible for a braveheart in this world.
